At Therapy with Tiny Humans, we offer a range of practical and interactive workshops designed for early years educators, primary school teachers, SNA’s and parents. Each workshop is tailored to the needs of your setting and delivered by Emma O’Leary, Senior Speech & Language Therapist.
1. Supporting Speech & Language Development in Early Years Settings
A 1.5-hour workshop designed for preschool and early years staff, focusing on:
- Understanding typical speech and language development
- Recognising when a child may need additional support
- Practical strategies to embed in everyday routines and play
This workshop is followed by 1–2 in-person coaching sessions within the setting. These allow staff to put strategies into practice with guidance and feedback from Emma.
2. Supporting Speech & Language Development in Primary Schools
This workshop mirrors the early years model but is tailored for primary school-aged children.
- Understanding speech, language, and communication needs in the classroom
- Strategies to support learning, literacy, and participation
- Practical tools for embedding support across the curriculum
Again, 1–2 follow-up coaching sessions are included, spaced a few weeks apart, giving teachers time to trial strategies and access feedback and problem-solving support.
3. Parent Workshops
Organised through schools, preschools, and community organisations, these interactive workshops are designed to empower parents with:
- Knowledge of how children develop speech and language
- Practical, fun, and meaningful ways to support communication at home
- Everyday routines and play ideas to build strong foundations for learning
Parents leave with clear, practical strategies they can start using straight away.
